Neko Case fourth studio album, Fox Confessor Brings The Flood (Bloodshotrecords, March 2006) – cut in Tucson in collaboration with likes The Band’s Garth Hudson and members of Calexico and Giant Sand – may help her not to remain a well-kept music celebrity-endorsed secret.
Drawn with both contemporary shades of modern Americana and the rustic stripes of her old time country heroines (Patsy Cline or Loretta Lynn), Neko Case perpetuate the tradition of country-music after having swept the dust.
Following Martha Wainwright last year revelation, Neko Case may be the voice of 2006.
